get_stations¶

Science¶

The station inventory the server locates against: NET.STA, coordinates, elevation, whether the station is on the quality-control list the forward and solution tools default to, and optionally channel epochs.

Coordinates here are metadata. They do not say whether the station wrote data at a given time. A station can be in the inventory and absent or silent in a window — that is get_station_status.

Versions of the inventory file and of the QC list are returned as content-addressed strings so two sessions can be compared.

Contract¶

Generated from the live registry (ToolSpec). Field names, types and defaults come from the input and payload models; they are not hand-typed.

What this tool does not tell you¶

What this tool does not tell you: whether a station was delivering at any given time. Use get_station_status for whether a listed station was delivering, silent, or absent in a window.
